By downloading, installing, or using the PinPulse mobile application (“the App”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
1. Description of the Service
PinPulse is a location-based application that allows users to:
- share their current location with a server endpoint configured by the user
- visualize location data on a map (mobile and web)
- control when and how location data is transmitted
PinPulse operates as a user-controlled location beacon and does not provide emergency or guaranteed tracking services.
2. User Responsibilities
By using PinPulse, you agree that:
- you have the legal right to use the device and the configured server endpoint
- you are responsible for securing your server and API endpoint
- you will comply with all applicable laws related to location data and privacy
You must not use PinPulse to:
- track individuals without their consent
- violate privacy or surveillance laws
- engage in unlawful or abusive activities
3. Location Data & Accuracy
- Location data is provided “as is” and may not always be accurate or available.
- GPS accuracy depends on device hardware, environment, and system permissions.
- PinPulse does not guarantee real-time accuracy or continuous availability.
The App should not be relied upon for emergency services, navigation safety, or life-critical tracking.
4. User Control & Consent
PinPulse provides tools to enable/disable location sharing, delete/restore pins, and stop background services at any time.
You are solely responsible for enabling background location access and managing consent when sharing location data.
5. Data Handling
PinPulse:
- does not sell or monetize personal data
- does not include advertising or analytics SDKs
- sends data only to the server endpoint specified by the user
Any data processed by your server is governed by your own policies and responsibilities.
6. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the App (software, branding, logos, design assets) are owned by the PinPulse developers, unless otherwise stated.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the App except where permitted by law.
7. Service Availability
The App is provided on a best-effort basis and may be interrupted due to updates, network issues, or maintenance. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PinPulse is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The developers are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, misuse of the App, or damages arising from reliance on location data.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated or the App is used for unlawful purposes. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
10. Third-Party Services
PinPulse may interact with third-party map providers and network services. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or accuracy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Changes become effective once published with an updated revision date.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction in which the App is distributed, without regard to conflict of law principles.
